According to the Patria agribusiness figures, Brazil is expected to harvest 143.18 million tons of soybeans in this 2023/24 crop. This new estimate of the consultancy is 7.4% lower than the 154.61 million tons recorded in the 22/23 harvest. Analysts also point out that the total cut in Brazilian soybean production in 2023/2024 already reaches a total of 21.49 million tons on the productive potential, becoming the second largest drop in potential in Brazilian history, lagging behind the 2021/2022 harvest, when 25 million were lost. The largest losses in relation to the last harvest are in Rondônia (21.8%), Bahia (17.7%), Mato Grosso (17%) and São Paulo (16.2%).
